Presidential Physician: Dennis O'Leary
Presidents
Notes
- O'Leary gained some fame at the time of Reagan's assassination attempt as the spokesman for George Washington University Hospital.
- He also had input into Reagan's care, as he directed that all units of blood and blood products destined for the President should be screened for hepatitis. (Comment: This seems bogus. Would not standard operating procedure in 1981 have screened for hepatitis in all blood bank products anyway?)
